THOSEGHAR WATERFALL NEAR SATARA
Thoseghar waterfall is a must-visit location in Maharashtra during the monsoons. Located in the village of Thoseghar, it boasts two waterfalls - Chota Dhabdhaba and Mota Dhabdhaba. Located around 20 km from Satara city, the best way to reach Satara is by taking a rickshaw from Satara or a hire a local cab if you’re in a group of 4 or more.You can reach Satara via MSRTC or private buses from Mumbai and Pune. The buses can cost anywhere between INR 200 – INR 800, depending on the bus operator type. One can also take a train to Satara from all the major cities of Maharashtra.
Private Vehicle:
The other option is to drive directly to the location. The distance from Mumbai is around 280 kms & can take about 5.5 to 6 hours to reach.The distance from Pune to Satara is around 135 kms and can take about 3.5 to 4 hours to reach.There is a parking lot near the waterfall, the charges for a 4-wheeler are INR 30; meanwhile, the parking for a 2-wheeler is free.
